How do I register?

How do I get my test results?

Results are published 13 working days after the test date for Paper based tests and 3 to 5 days after the test for a Computer Delivered IELTS test. Results can be viewed online. Login to your candidate portal and choose the results tab.

Test Report Forms (TRF), which are paper copies of the results will be sent out by Canada Post to the candidate’s mailing address given at the time of registration.

Additional TRFs (up to 5) are issued free of cost to send to recognizing institutions if such a request is made at the time of registration or up to 5 days prior to your test date. However postage or courier charges will apply.

Additional TRFs requested after the test date will incur a fee of $30 (including HST) per TRF. Courier charges will be extra.

How do I send my test result to institutions?

During registration, you can request Test Report Forms (TRF) for institutions. After registration, give us a call or send us an e-mail using the contact details on the ‘About Us‘ page.

What score do I need to pass IELTS?

IELTS score requirement depends on the the recognizing organization to whom you are sending the score to prove your English proficiency. Please check with the recognizing organization such as Universities or immigration authorities about their requirements. 

What if the speaking schedule given to me is not suitable for me?

Speaking slots chosen by a Test Taker at the time of registration cannot always be guaranteed and will depend on the availability of speaking examiners. An email will be sent from customerservice@iltts.info two days before the test with the actual speaking time. Please contact the Test Center by email ( info@iltts.ca ) to get any accommodation in the speaking schedule as soon as you receive the actual speaking time.

What if I miss my test?

The only instance when a consideration can be made for missing a test is if the candidate has a medical emergency. The candidate can request a refund due to such medical emergency within 5 days with supporting documents issued by a doctor registered in Canada. The test fee less administrative charges will be refunded after the IELTS administrator determines that the case is genuine.

How do I get accommodation for a disability or other special circumstance?

We will provide any reasonable accommodation possible for disabilities. Any medical accommodation required must be supported by a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner. There may be limitations for the kind of accommodations that can be made depending upon the facilities available. The candidate should request the accommodation in writing well in advance to allow the center to prepare.

What is your policy on refunds and test date changes?

Cancellation, Transfer or Refund: Request for cancellation or postponement of your test must be made via e-mail only. Telephone cancellation or postponement will not be accepted.

Cancellation more than 5 weeks ahead of the test date – you will receive a refund less 25% administrative fee.

Cancellation less than 5 weeks ahead of the test date – you will receive a refund as per the IELTS Refund policy

Failure to appear for the test without notification is considered a cancellation and no refund will be issued. You must re-apply.

Request for Test Day Transfer must be made more than 5 weeks prior to the first choice test date. Candidates who wish to transfer less than 5 weeks prior to the first choice test date will be treated on  a case basis and will be considered based on availability.

In case you made a duplicate payments by mistake, please send us an email and we will refund the duplicate fee. 

Speaking Test schedules are not guaranteed. We will try our best to give the speaking schedule chosen by the test taker. However this depends on the availability of examiners. The speaking schedule and the speaking test delivery method is up to the test center’s discretion.  No refund requests will be accepted for a changed speaking test schedule or method of delivery.

How do I prepare for the test?

When you register for IELTS with us, you will get access to 30 hours of official British Council study material, Road to IELTS. The access will be available on the Preparation tab on the candidate portal when you login after your registration is confirmed.

What ID documents do I need?

IELTS is a secure test. During registration, you are asked to upload a copy of your identification. You must bring the same original identification on test day.

Acceptable identification must be one of the following: 

1)    Valid (not expired) original passport, or

2)    Valid (not expired) original Canadian Permanent Resident Card (PRC)

Other identification will not be accepted: driver’s license, health card, citizenship card (Canadian or foreign), expired passport, expired Permanent Resident Card, student ID, etc.

What if I do not agree with my test result?

Candidates that feel that the test result is not accurate have an option to apply for an Enquiry on Result (EOR). The request for an EOR should reach us within one month of the test. The fee for an EOR is $250.00 plus HST.  This fee will be refunded less administration charges if your results are found to be inaccurate. Please contact us for more information.
